So yes, wedding colour theme was blue ! So most of us had the blue thing going on.
It was a tiring day, as I mentioned I returned home early in the morning on the wedding day as the wedding was only in the evening.




So the small girl here is my lookalike sis's eldest brother's child. Lol.
This sister of mine has 2 brothers okay? One married and with achild, the other one is whose wedding I am talking about now. (Seanpaul cousin)



She never stops crying,but after 1 whole week of seeing our faces she finally
allowed me to carry her, and what more take a photo! Lol.

YAY! My favourite cousin brotherrrr! I love him alot as much as he loves to abuse me lor.
And thats his best buddy. Reminds you of J* and I eh? Lol, that buddy refers to J* as his sister.



Wedding carrrr!!


So I got back to cousins at 4-ish got ready and there were a few cars going besides the transport arranged for all. I got to go in my Lookalike sis's friend's car. And only bad thing was, we were late by 10 mins?! I was so scared la,cause the route we took had to jammed and all.

And my cousin and I the usual rose-water sprinklers had to be early of course.
Its our culture that in any auspicious events relating to wedding we have the sprinklers and we kinda sprinkle it on all the guests as they walk in for the first time.
I of course dint stop at the first time for the known faces, specifically my cousins and some friends.



This was her engagement sari, its tradition that the Bride first wears her engagement sari before wearing her wedding sari.I love the colour combination man, seriously!!



The Groom walks in with the bestman.(Bride's brother/cousin) In this case its her cousin,cause the bride only has sisters.(-.-)




He was like 'Ey don't sprinkle la!!!!' Hahha.

After like 30 mins of standing there with the water sprinklers you see bottom right of this picture, we finally got the signal to stop and join the rest of the family on stage.

Hi bro!


Bride arrives, and OMG I LOVE HER SARI COLOUR? Its usually Red tone for most wedding saris for us Indians? But yeh, we went for Pink this time!



And he would make her laugh...awwwww!!



See the head bowed down and full of shyness la. Thats how the Bride should be according to the Oldies. Lol. I mean obviously you cant be like looking at all the audience and smiling and tell the whole word, 'I AM GETTING MARRIED I AM SO PROUD.'



Some rituals.



Together, forever. Thats my Aunt(Mum's sister) and Uncle.



Macro shot at the rice we Indias have to throw towards the couple when he ties the knot.
Well, you know the term tying the knot? Well for us its literal? Like we have to tie this string which is often in yellow and its represnting our Goddess as its the bride who wears the string as a wedding chain. So yes, everyone in the hall is given the chance to take these yellow rice as much as they want and throw it towards them.


Gets ready to tie it!! So exciting okay, they(don't ask me who's the they, prolly just our forefathers) say that its during this time that the Bride gets teary and all as its the most emotional part of the wedding, moments before the Groom ties the string, you belong to another family now. So to say, she belongs to my cousin's family.



Brings it up .....


And ties it!!! WOOOOO!



So bridesmaid will be the Groom's sister which in this case is his own sister,and together with the bestman they walk around the fire and all.

My eldest sister who pampers me alot. :) The only niece in the family where all aunties and uncles loves to go to for opinions. I love her much.

So after the wedding, the Bride will brought in for retouch of make-up before getting ready to be seated along with the Groom on chairs now, and all those who came for the wedding queues up to give their gifts(Usually money) and to snap a photo with the couple.

After wedding ...


I took the bus back this time,and was catching up with Arun's sister. A nice girl. :)
So its like after a wedding,the Groom and Bride makes the last 'Visit' to the Bride's house and all the Bride's family would be there blessing them as a couple before they make it to their permanent house,which in this case is my cousins' place.

So the Groom side is to like gather and get ready for the couple to arrive and all, so by the time they came, it took an hour we were just chilling and talking.


I asked, 'Leisha, smileeee!!' She didnt lor.



'Leisha see see!! Where the light!?' Lol.And she was amazed by the flash.

So the moment came, and the couple arrived. The bright light is due to the video man there.
Lol I like it.





The lighted camphor would be shown to them and circled in 3 rounds clockwise, this would be the action to ward of any evil eye casted. :) Yeah our belief.






Come on in!!



But with couple both stepping in with right foot.



And my cousin tried to get Leisha's attention cause she started crying. LoL.



Then comes the feeding of milk and fruit. The fruit would be banana, and its custom in all Hindu couples.To feed one another milk and banana.









Pink suits her well!! :) So pretty.



They would once again smile/pose just for me ignoring the camera man. Lol.

AWWW! We're his favourites.

So like, we were there taking photos after photos,honestly what I uploaded is only 1/2 of what was taken.I don't wanna put too many.
It was great night. We left my cousin's place at 2 am, and then back home to sleep cause I had the wedding dinner the next evening!!
