A quiz for you guys k.(Visualise it!)
Imagine that you just entered a jungle.
What is the first animal you see infront of you?
Now Imagine that you turn behind and you see another animal.
What is that animal?
Lastly, when you leave the jungle and walk ahead, you turn back you see another animal, what is that?
K so the answers will be below my entry k. Remember your answers!!!
Load these 2 videos first k.
First 1 (Part1) was during the time I took part,so some footages then.
Part 2 is when I went in the evening to watch the kavadis, and I videoed it. :)
I’m back back back.
After all the ‘drama’ in the tag board.Lol And of course, after my favourite Festival.
I’ll begin with some random matters first aiite.
Oh wait, not something random, but yeah I’VE GOT A NIECE NOW.
Right after a nephew rmb?
Yeah, she was born on Thursday 17 Feb! Wooo.
I can’t wait to see her, I can’t yet as I’m still fasting, so its ‘unclean’ to visit the baby.
Yep! She’s Thamo bro’s daughter. My Seanpaul cousin’s elder brother’s kid. Yep.
(Just for clarification.)
MY NIECE!!!Super cute ah.
Ok back to random stuffs.
Ya’ll know how last Tues was our Pongal(Harvest Festival) for us Hindus.
Yep, and yay for me, Jesz smsed me!! Lol.
It was a simple Happy Pongal. But it was nice of him to remember me.
So did his nephew Vinod too. Thanks ya’ll. ;)

Oh yes, I have a really good source!(You don't! )
Lol! Thanks much :)
I really want to thank some of my friends who actually understood me for the period I’ve been fasting. It means a lot to know ya’ll respect what I do, which means respect me.
Namely,Tnesh,Juen,Sarah,Ven and funnily enough, Pravin! Lol.
And those are whom who’ve been there for me during this time too, and to someone special, thanks a lot for those emails and encouragement. It feels good for me to realise that you actually have been reading my blog all these times, and remember the simple small things I’ve mentioned.
And yes, I am going to get the, ‘The Secret’ book soon. Lol.
Pravin was being an … the other day.
I’ve been sleeping like on time since I’ve been fasting, phone off or either silent.
So that night, when I slept and I woke up the next morning I saw that I had a sms.
And it read this, ‘I thought someone say they wont use technology coz fasting. So why u looking at the phone for wat .. :D’
Firstly, I didn’t say anything about abstaining from technology, but from comforts , and though technology may fall under that category, I don’t remember begging you to sms me for me to read it!
Hahaha. Such a pea brain that one. But it made me laugh, you sure think your too smart right?
And about 6 days ago, while I was in school Juen smsed me.
‘Omg. Today is the worst day of my life. I lost my balance in the bus lor. : (‘
Hahaha, I started laughing not because she fell, but I can so hear her saying that.
And to know details, I asked her more, and she replied saying, ‘Lol. In 903.Its like so crowded then I’m standing at the four seater there..Got this aunty wanna get down then I let her pass and tripped…Then I fell onto this lady opp. Before I fall flat on the ground , this guy grabbed my arm and I landed on the seat lor..’
How funny can it get, picturing that happening.
Omg.ahahaha it was good that she didn’t fall flat on the ground .
And telling her that, she replied saying it was alright, as the guy who grabbed her hand was goodlooking.
Hahhha.

I like this pic I edited. :)
That’s about all for those matter.
Come thaipusam eve(Monday), I had calls/smses wishing me all the best as I decided to pierce for the first time.Only a few knew I was piercing.
Tnesh,Juen,Sarah,Ven…yep.
And I was scared, as my Seanpaul cousin came to my house a few days back to sharpen my brother’s piercing tools, I didn’t make up my mind then, but the next day I did.
I already made a vow to pierce the next time I took part, thou I didn’t really tell my mum openly but yeah in my head was where the vow resided, I wanted to fulfill it.
And so I decided used my mum’s piercing spear.
My cousin came last Sunday again, as we had our thaipusam prayers then.
Along came Raj who brough his super huge thangi(bigger version of the mouth spear)
And he put it at my prayer room for blessing. My cousin took my mum’s spear and went, ‘Wah! Old school la…good good, this one very sharp already no need to sharpen, just need to smoothen.’
And I took a closer look, oh my, was it sharp!
And prayers was attended by my portguese cousins and family and my bro’s friend Mugu.
It was nice.
So coming back, Thaipusam Eve Monday, I left class early, as I needed to get enough sleep.
I came home and manage to sleep from 4.30 to 6.30 pm and woke up to pray . Once I showered and all, I couldn’t sleep again.
Time was running , and about 10pm-ish my Portuguese cousins and their parents came to my house. They were going to follow us for the first time.
Yep.
And then my bro’s friend came to pick us up in his van.
Had to pay man, fuel’s not cheap .
But Juen, please get your license soon, so you can rent a lorry next year and drive my family there.
I wouldn’t have to worry about public transport already!
And if Juen can’t, Tnesh you k ? Lol.
So yeh, on my way it was alright. I was already feeling the atmosphere.
On the highways were lorries with the kavadi there and people singing.
Its really nice, the last I was in lorry and my oh my was the experience good.
Upon reaching,we waited for my Seanpaul cousin to come with his battalion.
Lol mainly the guys, as Arun and this other guy Vijay was taking.
When I reached, Arun’s family,Chuchu,Gana bro,his brother and his mum along with Lita sis and all were there.
My lookalike sis couldn’t come, as we just had a niece and she has already seen the baby, its unclean for her to enter the temple.
Yep, and then when I saw who the Vijay was, I was shocked.
Cause he was my primary school mate, but then his name was Vinothan, looks like he changed his name.
Lol, so exchanged a few words with Arun’s family whose sister was taking part for the first time and she was going to be piercing too
Though it wasn't the first for me to take part, it was the first for me to pierce.
Yep, so prayers and all, then blessings from parents. My bro and I fell on Gana bro’s Mum too, as she has always been the one who bless us when she gets a trance and all.
And yep, she did get a trance, and she was swaying happily to the beats. It was nice looking at her,all the more I feel god’s presence within.
And when I looked at her, she knew I wanted her to bless me and she called me towards her.
I fell on her feet, and suddenly tears well up in my eyes.
I remembered the last year I fell on her feet, I didn’t take part then, and knowing that I was supposed to she used her hand gestures to ask me why I didn’t take part.
I made a vow to God then, that I’ll take part but I didn’t, and somehow she knew.
And after I fell she smeared the holy ash across my forehead, touched my heart area and told me with gestures to be relaxed.
My bro
Gana bro's mum.
Piercing for my bro.
Rupini (Arun's sis)
All the milk pots/packets lined up.
A spread of warmth could be felt. After everything it was time to pierce.
And Gana bro our usual piercer did it for me.
I remember only Chuchu and my seanpaul cousin at either side of my ears.
When Gana bro took my spear, they started to chant loudly into my ears.
And all I remembered doing was picture the Lord (Murugan) for whom we are actually celebrating this festival for and a smile was what I did, and then for 2 seconds it was over.
I had my Vel(the spear) pierced upon.
It wasn’t painful while piercing, but after a while it hurt. But it was alright.
And yeh, my brother pierced, and it was Arun’s turn, who somehow had a trance then.
It was scary as he was screaming and all. But yeh, it was alright.
After all the prayers and all, we left the temple it was 4.15 then. And the moment the milk pot was put on my head by mum , I felt the weight like whoaaaa.
My mum initially said that she would have my pot be filled with 2 litres(2kg) of milk as the milk pot this time was bigger than my usual and I was still suffering from my injured spine.
But my dad didn’t remember, poured full, and my Seanpaul cousin said, I cannot cheat Murugan(Our lord) as he would definitely want a payback. So Yes, I carried the milk pot filled to its neck.
But despite all, normally its such that you wouldn’t feel the weight till you are nearing your destination which is another temple.
As we Hindus feel that, when we nearing the temple, that’s when you’ll feel your milk pot is very heavy, your foot aches, as a sign of test from our God.
But it was different for me, but I didn’t complain and accepted it.
But the further I walked the lesser heaviness was felt.
Not exactly the time to camwhore right, I know, but I couldnt resist!
You see all the blue feather-ed logs? Those are called Kandas. They have two milk pot attached to either sides.
108 lemos pierced onto Arun.
My cousin Navin.
Time to assemble and start the walk.
Arun.
Leaving the temple.
Anyways,I thought I was going to miss my test as normally the 4km walk takes 3-4 hrs plus all the human jam.
And I was shocked that the jam was started at the beginning of the walk , normally its only towards the end.(Oh yea, to those non-Indians, the walk is from one temple to another on the roads, one lane of the roads is barricaded just for us.)
Suprising thing was, though it was packed, the crowd was moving?
It wasn’t a jam jam thing.
So then it was time for those clad in Blue top and Orange bottoms to start their thing.
Singing!
So they sang , from soft beats to loud and fast resulting in all the 3 guys to dance along.
I couldn’t help but take my steps with the beats,I never hold back in these issues.
And the feeling is super nice.
Bowing before the middle temple.
My cousins were following , especially my lil one, Helena, that one is a special kid.
She was walking the 4 km, non stop not a yawn was seen from her, not a word to ask to be carried. She enjoyed it I bet.
Whereas Navin who was carrying this honey plus fruit mixture was almost sleep walking.
The walk was good, but one thing was that many kavadis were spotted then.Usually I don’t see any kavadis at that time.
Like so many were there , so we cut and cut and cut.
Some chariots seen.
This one was eye catching. Its my bestfriend inside. The Elephant God.
Upon reaching the temple we were thrilled.Time came for us to shower our love for the Lord.
And time to pray hard for all we want.
Its practice when you enter your sanctums those who carry kavadis/kandas dance merrily.
And that’s why my bro,Arun and my classmate did.
Watch the video k.
I mean, you guys should really watch it. Its ten mins of your time. Ten good mins.
And the thing is I reached the temple at 6.20! Surprising ah, 2 hrs.
Yay!
My mum told me to believe that I will be able to attend the test despite every obstacle and yes, I believe God made me do it. :)
Arun had a trance in the temple, and ya’ll know how towards the end that’s when you have the least energy, but whoa when you get a trance, its like a force installed suddenly, and he was aggressively holding and spinning his kanda.
I was proud of myself has for the whole time I walked I never lifted the milk pot from my head.
As if we really cannot persevere we can move the milk pot to the right/left side of the shoulder and keep it at there or rotate when you want it to be, and if you really really cannot carry that way you can hold onto it with your hands like hold it normally.
And I DIDN’T!
It’s an achievement!
Foot of the temple.
Yay!
The far left's my pri sch mate.
After everything, it was time to serve the honey fruit mixtures to people . Its our tradition.
And then, we were off in the cab, back homeeee.
I showered immediately, dressed up and got to school, I was early.
And did my test.
And imagine how stone I could have been not sleeping from Monday 7 pm till Tuesday 10 am. I came home and was stone. My cousins and their parents were asleep when I returned home .I went to sleep and woke up 2 hrs later lor.
Prayed, had lunch and then left my house at 5 for round 2!
Ganabro,Raj and Ramesh were going to carry kanda.
So my bro and I went, by train. Damn tiring ahh. But is a not to miss kinda days.
So reached the temple, and then went to meet them, this time those who were not carrying were dressed in blue-orange. Including my brother.
Saw some familiar faces, Ravi and all.
And then Tnesh was somewhere there, and we met.
Lol, though it was a min or so, it was nice seeing him wearing tradition though it was half tradition.
The old school kinda, feather duster kavadi.
Nice ehh, I love the neon lights.
Clad in blue and orange.
I loved the theme this year. Pity all the sisters weren't there.
And then after all the piercing we began our walk.
And you guys must see how big Gana bro’s milkpots are okay!
Its like one pot required 20 packets of milk so althogether 40 litres which is 40 kg!
Gosh!!! Seriously.
I was with Lita sis and Arun’s mum and sisters walking, it was nice singing along.
We were one of last few to leave temple, and this time it was super jammed.
Then we cut and cut and cut and walked down further.
I saw many beautiful kavadis. Especially one, was a devotee of Lord Shiva, he was slowly moving. His peak was a Shiva lingam (Symbol of Shiva).Very calm and peaceful, I felt so nice looking at him move along with the guys who were singing Shiva’s songs.
I video-ed it and you guys ought to watch it k! :)
He initially decided to wear the already small nail slippers but upon wearing it, he couldnt take it, and chose not to walk on it.
Imagine carrying a load of 45 kg on your shoulder. With a spear across your mouth weighing almost 1 kg.
Ganabro dancing to the beats.
I find this super nice, the way my bro is standing. And I must say I LOVE THE THEME!
Arun looks scary here! :)
Along the way I saw many familiar faces, one of them was Suba love! :)
My dance mate. She looked so pretty lor.
After a while my sis joined us near Little India and we continued walking.
It was so funny, many of my sis’s friends thought I was her, and smiled at me. Lol and I responded with a smile too.
Hahaha, and then we walked pass the Kavadi Tnesh was following so I kinda said hi to him, after which my sis was behind me approached me and asked if I knew any one from the group earlier.
And Im like yeah, Tnesh, and shes like , ‘I think he thought I was you he smiled at me.’
Hahaha, but I didn’t think so la, cause I just saw him, so he prolly knew she was my sis, and he said he did know it was my sis but she didn’t smile back!
Hahaha.
And we continued walking ahead, it was good really good for me.I loved all the songs that were being sang.
Raj and Gana bro were dancing to the songs. I thought it was rather difficult for Gana bro to dance but he did despite it all . :)
Bonding with the rest was fun, especially Arun’s mum, she’s really very very nice I adore her.
I love the Om sign on the Kavadi.
Nice decorations eh.
And then came time for my bro and I to split and we did at 10.30, and we were at Park Mall then.
And yep!
I went home and died ~! Didn’t go school, and here I am in class today finishing up this entry!
And now you guys scroll all the way up and watch both Part 1 and Part 2 k?

K so the quiz right... the first animal you saw when you entered the jungle is what you think you are.
So if you saw a tiger, then it means you think your a tiger.
Don't be so ambitious ah.
Lol.
K next, the animal u saw behind is what people see you as.
And lastly the animal you see after you leave is what you really are. Yep.
Juen's answers were Lion,Horse,Snake.
Omg la, that one will think she's a lion.
Sarah's answers were Owl,Monkey,Tiger.
And mine is, tiger,peacock,monkey.
Lovesssss and Misses!!!!!!!!
