When we reached home, I saw my dad and bro already there.
Since my mum couldnt come, dad did.
Yeah and prayers started aroud 8 ended at 9. So initial plan was to go to Ghana bro's(If you guys dont know whom, then go to my Xmas post, there's pic of him) house for prayers at Toa Pah Yoh. Arun's dad came to my cousins place to fetch us over to Toa Pah Yoh.
My brother couldnt come as he had camp the following day. She normally remains very calm during it. Yeah,so then one by one all those taking part in Thaipusam went to fall at her feet and take blessings followed by the rest of the R.O.D people who came for the prayers.
While we were all standing around, Ghana bro also got into a trance! I have seen him in trance before and I always run away but this time I didnt.
AND OMG, He was standing right infront of me when he suddenly started laughing and all. He went on dancing and all, it was scary seriously. Arun evn fled to the kitchen, cause Ghana bro was being so vigorous.
I wanted to fall at his mum's leg but I couldnt go pass him as he was dancing all over.
And finally I did.
I fall at her legs and I immediately found myself tearing up. When I looked up at her, she used her hand to go round her head. And then using her palm she asked me why?
I dont know how to explain it to you guys lah, but what she meant was why didnt I carry e milkpot this year!
I got SO SHOCKED! I swear by this, I made a vow to the Lord that I will indeed carry a milk pot this year but I didnt. I don't knw why I didnt. And when she asked me, I cried more. And she just nodded her head and I told her in my heart I will the next time round.
And she gave me a lemon to keep as a form of blessings/protection.
Afterwhich, we chilled somemore and decided to leave for the night!
It was 12 by the time we had dinner and all.Arun's dad sent us back.
And yeah goodness the number of people squeezed up behind in the van.
It only fits about 8 people. And Arun's dad had a big box in the van itself And so it was more squeezy.
But when everyone got their ass into the van!!! It was 14 of us!
Goodnessssss!

But yeah, we still did take photos. ahaha. I'm back HOME!
YAY.
And I miss blogging so much.
This one is gonna be a vry long one.

From Tuesday 30/1/07:
My mum decided to ask my brother to do his thaipusam prayers at my cousins' house instead as my mum couldnt do it due to some reason. So my brothr agreed thou he was sad and all

tht we cldnt do it in my house.
Yeah, and I had to meet my sis at Toa Pah Yoh to attend some temple meeting for the

volunteer work for Thaipusam. And I went to HDB hub where she works and waited for her.
Its a nice place to shop! Yeah, and then we biked all the way to the Thaipusam Temple.

It was a long ride. And it was a first long ride for me. FUN.
And after meeting, we rushed back home as my sis herself was taking part in Thaipusam

and so she had to do prayers as well.
I was supposed to head back

home with dad and brother but my cousins wanted me to come for the next prayers and I
really wanted to go too.
So the cousins and a few ppl of R.O.D came along in the van.
And we cam-whored in the van as well.

My sister in law and myself. On e way to Ghana bro's house.

Diamond! He's super nice.

Siblings.

My sis and I.

Im so in love with the prayer sanctum.

During the prayers, the Ghana bro's mum got into a trance. It wasn't very scary .

But yeah, we still did take photos. ahaha. Yep.

The one in black's Ravi, I think Pravin looks a bit like him. But he's way nicerrrrr. ahaha.

Thats Arun and that guy who's infront of me is some random guy who was sitting on my legs the whole 40 mins back home! Ass lah.
We didnt even know who he was, but he came to attend the prayers.

And when we finally reached home!
Diamond and my sis.
Diamond, Ravi, and Arun stayed over.It was fun having them over.
:D

Next day!
Wednesday! 31/1/07
I went back home in the morning, to go get those needed stuff for my brother and myself as we were gonna stay at cousins till thaipusam is officially over and thats two days after thursday.
Came back to cousins at 6 plus and everybody was missing, all were at Lil India shopping for some last min goods.

Getting ready to leave the house.

I was so glad that we were going in a lorry!

And then came music! We were singing and all. It was fun fun fun!

My sis and I.

My sister in laws. The one in pink, is my to-be sister in law.

Before praying.

My sister looks so damn innocent .

3 most important guys :D
Seanpaulcousin,Arun and My bro.

Ravi! This year's theme for the guys was cream top with green bottoms.
I loved the combination.

Raj and Ravi.
Some of the guys were gna carry in the evening and some morning.
So that there was a balance and enough people to sing for each other.

Before piercing.
I have videos. But Ill post it later part of this post.

Arun's turn to pierce. It was scary as during the period he was having his forehead pierced, Ghana bro got into a trance and Arun fainted.
I was damn scared.

Thats him after having the 51 lemons hooked onto his back.

Getting ready to leave temple.

Bowing down to the deity before leaving the temple.

He's frigging great.

Dancing to the songs.

There's always time to pose. :D

The four guys . Ramish,Arun,Seanpaulcousin and my bro.

I dont' want to go on for the pictures taken in the morning.
But to summarise, it was an awesome morning then.
When we finally reached the temple to deliver the milk and all, something happened.
I was infront videoing my brother and Seanpaul cousin dancing.
Arun was behind, was coming up the temple stairs by kneeling and suddenly he screamed.
He got into a trance, cause thats when the vibrations are at e peak.
When you're entering the temple.
And whoa, I was so shocked, didnt know he could get into trance and all.
And while dancing and all along the 4km roads, he dropped like all 50 lemons and managed to bring only 1.
But its good atleast there was 1.
Yep.
So, we went back home in the same lorry, and had to rush as my sis and I had volunteer work to attend.

Wayyy homeee.....

Then came evening timeeeee.
This time a bit relaxing for us, none of my cousins carried, Ghana bro and two guys from R.O.D did, so our job was just to sing and motivate them.
My sis and I decided to join them later as our family members came to watch e kavadis we had to bond with them first.

Pictures on e way to the temple.

My favourite cousin of all time!

Raj, this guy's so skinny and over ambitious.
He wanted to intially have 7 flags pierced behind on his back.
But they could only manage 5, as he really didnt have enough skin.

Ghana bro. He looked so damn fierce. His milk pot was so damn big la, we made fun of him.

HAHAH. It seemed like 2 rice cookers he was carrying. But yeah, he pierced 108 lemons as well and also walked on nail-slippers during the begining and ending of the journey.
It isnt easy.

The piercing thing was so big !

Random pictures.

Lita sis and myself.

My sis and I.

This picture I love.
The amount of space given to us to walk to the roads with e barricades and all is about 4-5 metres. And whoa I made this whole grp of ppl take a photo and I had to go to e end and snap it. Which means, they were blocking the entire passageway. HAHAH, and all eyes were on us.
But hell, its not always I do this. I love you guys!

Beautiful peak on the kavadi.

It was a blue theme for us girls this year!
Pretty sure we rocked at it.
This was taken after we finally reached e temple.
It was 23.59 when we reached and 24.00 when the milk was poured on the Lord.
Awesome timing.
It isnt good to have the milk pour after thaiousam is officially over.
Yeah and after us, there were still about 10 more kavadis!

Arun's sister and myself. :D

My most fav person of R.O.D, Ravi.

Thats Sara on the left and Ravi once again.
And whoa sometimes people amaze me.
Like they really do.
This guy Sara, first impression to me was an ITE guy or even nothing.
But on our way home, we bonded.
And whoaaa ...this guy took his O levels 5 years ago in SJI.
He got 12 points and went to CJC. He didnt like it there and so transferred to SP for some Engineering course the next year.
Then again he felt that this isnt where he belong and so he went to NP to do Mass Comm and will be graduating next year.
Goodness! I was so shocked as he told me all his stories.
He's nice guy, encouraging me and all. He's working with Vasantham Central and thats only for Sats and Suns and he EARNS $2000 just for 8 days in a month.
Thats freaking great.
My idol! HAHAHA, and best part he's now part of R.O.D.
Woof woof!

Videos.

This was during the piercing of my brother's forehead. Don't watch it if you dont want. Yep.

This was during his mouth piercing.

Tongue piercing.

When both my brother and cousin reached the temple.

This is the only video I took in the evening, when Ghana bro was dancing.

Thats all for it!
Looong post coming up tomorrow.
My results are this friday!
Woooop!

I'm out. I miss my cousins and the R.O.D people.
